Following are the words of John, whose consciousness communicates through me - and I'm sure, through others too. I am a channel for him to share his message with you. In his earth life he did that through his music, his activism and his conservation work, and he has continued to give messages of love and peace in the years since he returned to life in spirit.

Practicing love constantly and consistently is no easy task. It is simple in concept, but what is simple is not always easy.

'Love one another.' That is what we are working towards. You'd think we'd have learned something in the past 2,000 years, but to do that seemingly simple thing seems almost impossible to attain; however, that doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

If someone can't get over some small slight or slur, how will they ever be a fully realised being of light? But if we start to work on handling the little things we need to deal with, then maybe we can work our way up to handling the bigger things.

Please take my more confronting comments with a pinch of salt and a large dose of good humour, because while I don't want to upset anyone, I do want to stir people to action. If you recognise yourself in what I'm saying, hey, lighten up!

Love is a subject with myriad meanings, not always easy to categorise. Just come on a journey with me, explore the various aspects of love according to my perspective, then make up your own mind. You can disagree and I won't mind at all!

The paradoxical nature of earth life means that we are charged with the task of doing our best to feel complete within our own selves, even as we long for the presence of a certain someone who we feel sure will make us whole.

It is our sacred quest to maximise our individual potential in this or any other lifetime, and not to simply live for or through another person.

I used my income and literally put my money where my mouth was, in order to follow and support my passion and give it wings. I found this deeply satisfying and it gave meaning to the role of celebrity or star, which can be a very shallow existence.

In my dimension of the spirit world we live in the now, just as you are encouraged to do. When you live for the moment, the past becomes a reference point for dates and events rather than a place we live in or constantly revisit.

It is the bonds of love that keep us connected, not the details of our lives together. It is your light that draws us to you, not your history.

I'm not interested in proving anything to anyone. Our work transcends personality. It has a message to share and value to give regardless of the origins of its authorship or inspiration.

The wisest policy is to live as if you're sure you will reach your centenary and you expect to be well enough to dance at your own party! Living life to the full means different things to different people. Do your utmost to find and do what fulfils you.

I'm here to tell you that in this New Age of Love and Light, ones territory is Mother Earth. There are no outsiders. We are all in this together.
